What is a Dance-A-Thon Senior Style?
Our Dance-A-Thon done Senior Style means no exhausted dancers draped over each other! Instead we ask that everyone attend, shake a tail feather or two and enjoy the rest of the entertainment and excitement in efforts to raise $25,000 that will directly benefit the work of Adopt-A-Grandparent. To attend, there is a $25 fee per person, excluding senior citizens.

Hosted by Lisa Rayam (news anchor at WAGA FOX 5), this year’s event will showcase dance tutorials and demonstrations, a silent auction and a senior bake-off. Nationally renowned chef Scott Peacock, will be this year’s Honorary Chair.  Presently, in addition to creating dishes at Decatur ’s Watershed restaurant, Peacock has written a cookbook, The Gift of Southern Cooking: Recipes and Revelations from two Southern Chefs, with his friend and mentor, the late Edna Lewis, a senior. The AAGP’s Wisdom of the Ages Project will also debut at this year’s Dance-A-Thon, a showcase of our seniors’ dreams and aspirations.

Are You Ready To Help Improve the Quality of Life for a Senior?
Invite everyone you know to experience firsthand the difference seniors make in our lives, raise pledges to build community partnerships for alone and friendless seniors, donate silent auction items or your time by becoming a DAT volunteer, or become an official sponsor of the 2007 Dance-A-Thon.
